Organic vs Conventional – An Apple Study
Saturday, May 2nd, 2009Hm. There was an interesting study that showed organic apples to have about 15% higher antioxidant capacity over conventional produce. AND not only that but they come without the pesticides and herbicides… how ’bout that.
The study from Germany was published in The Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. You can read the write up at Nutraingredients.com.
First off, welcome. My name is Tim and I like food… yeah, who doesn’t? I like peaches, like in the picture to the left. I am in the background wearing jeans and a white tee with blue sleeves. 3/4 sleeves mind you. I like learning about food and knowing what it is that I am putting in my body. So this blog is about knowing, learning, and everything that goes with it.
