I really (really) want to learn baking alternatives to refined sugar. I mean, really. It's like something inside me has suddenly shifted and I no longer want to make baked goods with refined sugar. I think about using agave, and now the idea of sorghum is placed in my head. I must find more information, proper substitution ratios etc. Gah. Somebody give me a push!

I am glad to see another sorghum syrup fan. We use sorghum a lot, the flour and the syrup. I go for sorghum syrup over maple any day, it isn't as sweet, and it is thicker. We buy 6 jars at a time at the health food store. The grocery store sells a kind cut with corn syrup- I don't buy that.

We even grew sorghum in our bakyard garden last year. There are mulitple posts on sorghum at my blog Kitchen Therapy. Just search for sorghum in the search bar on the right side (under the poll).
